Scott R. Baugh is a Partner in the International Law Firm of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw which is the sixth largest law firm in the world. Mr. Baugh's primary practice area is Governmental Affairs where he specializes in representing governmental agencies with lobbying and strategic advice. He also represents companies seeking to do business with governermental agencies at the federal, state and local levels, as well as lobbying the California State Legislature, State Agencies and the Governor's office.
Prior to Mr. Baugh's return to the practice of law, he was an elected member of the California State Legislature from 1995-2000. In 1999, his collegues elected him as the Republican Leader of the State Assembly where he provided overall direction of policy and campaigns for the Assembly Republicans.
Mr. Baugh received his BA degree from Liberty University , graduating summa cum laude in 1984. He then received his law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1987, where he graduated With Great Distinction. He was also an editor of the Pacific Law Journal and is a member of the Order of the Coif.
